14th Indiana Infantry Regiment

The 14th Indiana Infantry Regiment, otherwise known as the ''Gallant Fourteenth'', was an infantry regiment of the Union Army during the American Civil War. A part of the celebrated Gibraltar Brigade of the Army of the Potomac, the 14th helped secure Cemetery Hill during the Battle of Gettysburg in 1863.

*The 14th Indiana was raised at Terre Haute, Indiana in May, 1861 for one year's service.
*Remustered for three years on June 7, 1861, the first Indiana regiment to enlist for that term.
*First Battle of Kernstown
*Antietam - The 14th was part of the Gibraltar Brigade of Nathan Kimball, and assaulted Confederate positions along the Sunken Road.
*Fredericksburg
